Team Profile and Biography

The team was conceived by Ian Miller and Stephen Deuchar at the end of 2002. For 2003 the duo competed with success in the Club100 rookie endurance championship, finishing a very creditable third in the final standings. They also recruited their current reserve drivers, Eddie Hall and Ian Wilson, who both partnered Stephen at Glan-Y-Gors for a one-off inters endurance race.

Miller and Deuchar again competed as a two-man team in 2004, winning the City Challenge Championship with a dominant display. Ian Wilson was brought in to comprise a four-man team for the Spa 10 Hour race in Belgium, along with Eddie Hall, who also raced for the team in two inters endurance races at Clay Pigeon and Lydd respectively, as well.

For 2005, all four drivers will be racing as the team embark on a season of the inters endurance championship. The quartet will share the drive to comprise a three man team.

Stephen DeucharStephen Deuchar - Stephen raced 100cc karts in the 1970s in the Junior and 100 National classes, competing at club level and also taking part in the 1975 British championships.

After a break of some 27 years, Stephen resumed his career with Club 100 in a test session at the end of 2002, where he met future IMSD team mates Ian Miller and Eddie Hall.

As well as competing in the sprint series in 2003, Stephen also drove in the rookie endurance series with Ian Miller before going on to dominate the City Challenge the following year. In 2005 he will be focussing on IMSD's challenge for the C100 Intermediate Endurance championship, and also in running his son Seth in the Formula 6 championship in the Junior Royale class. When karting commitments allow, Stephen has a career in the art world in London and a wife and several daughters in Kent.

Ian MillerIan Miller - Ian is a 32 year old facilities manager for Bristol City Council. He was a motor racing fan from a very young age and spent much of his youth dreaming of becoming a Grand Prix Driver.

A brief foray into Car racing in his teenage years fired his love of the sport even more, but sadly a lack of funding meant that his racing career ended before it had really begun.

It wasn't until 2002 that things really took off when Ian had his first taste of Club100. A chance meeting with Stephen Deuchar at the end of the year led to the formation of IMSD Racing. The team was instantly competitive and together they moved from the Rookie Endurance championship in 2003 to dominate the City Challenge Championship the following year. A smooth and consistent driver who rarely makes mistakes, Ian has now stamped his mark in the racing community.

Eddie HallEddie Hall - Eddie first became interested in motor racing in 1992. He started competing in local club events between 1994-1996 before entering - and winning - his first official ProKart championship in 97.

A successful move to the CBKC 100cc Championship followed before taking the plunge into Single Seater racing in 99. This was short-lived, however, as a lack of funds put him on the sideliness.

Spending two years out of action, his passion was re-ignited in 2001 after a one-off fun kart event led to a test with Club100 in the Summer. Eddie entered the sprint series in 2002, instantly making a name for himself. He has subsequently proved himself to be a quick driver. After meeting Stephen Deuchar at a test session the end of the season, Eddie was drafted in as a reserve driver for IMSD Racing for 2003-04, before becoming a full member of the squad in 2005.

Ian Wilson - Ian started his racing career on two wheels at the age of 13, racing in various Motorcross events. Following a 10 year break, he returned to the track in single seaters and saloons in the mid nineties.

After success in the race schools, he competed in the TKM Winter Rookie Series in 1999, winning three out of four races on his way to the championship.

The following year Ian had to postpone his racing career due to work commitments, but he returned to the sport in 2002 with Club100, finishing a superb fourth in the B final on his debut. He became a regular face on the Club100 sprint calendar over the next two seasons as well as making appearances for IMSD Racing at Glan-Y-Gors in 2003 and Spa-Francorchamps in 2004 before getting a full time drive in 2005 and moving out of the frantic and sometimes cruel world of sprint racing.
